We have been awaiting word of the intense publish-apocalyptic sci-fi film because it started filming in Budapest in 2014, and today it’s finally guaranteed a distributor and official U.S. release date.
Directed by Miguel Angel Vivas (Kidnapped) and starring Matthew Fox (Lost, Speed Racer, Alex Mix) and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice), Extinction follows the terrible occasions unfolding as a direct consequence of nuclear winter as neighbors must band together against a rampaging mob of mutated zombies within the iced-over Colonial capital of scotland- Harmony. Initially entitled Thanks for visiting Harmony, it boasts an eerie thirty days of Night-like atmosphere matched using the survival dynamics and nasty zombie decor of The Walking Dead that rabid horror fans should flock to.

For nine years, Patrick (Matthew Fox), Jack (Jeffrey Donovan) and the daughter Lu (Quinn McColgan) have outlasted the zombie apocalypse by shutting themselves off within the snowbound capital of scotland- Harmony. The monsters have apparently disappeared, without any manifestation of other survivors, however the constant anxiety about the unknown is beginning to consider a toll about this makeshift family. When Patrick goes scavenging for food, he finds out the undead have came back and become something terrifying, beyond imagination. Will the final breath of mankind survive another zombie apocalypse?
